Michelle Ross, the Director of Clinical Services for theDr.com, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist*, and Certified Gluten Practitioner. She has completed all seven advanced practice modules required for practitioner certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport, Michelle holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and a Master’s Degree in Education from Pacific Union College. Michelle’s graduate school thesis focused on the complexity of gluten-related disorders and the potentially devastating effects of gluten on the body. She has been extensively trained in the advanced interpretation of functional testing and Dr. Tom O’Bryan’s protocols for addressing autoimmune diseases, gluten- and wheat-related disorders, and microbiome health.
Michelle’s training in Functional Medicine has given her a strong focus on the person as a whole, not just a set of isolated symptoms. This training, combined with her unique talent and nurturing manner, inspires Michelle’s clients to make lifestyle changes that can totally transform their lives.
Dr. O’Bryan refers to Michelle as “The Teacher of Teachers” as her elementary school teaching experience helped her develop the skill of communicating with easy-to-understand examples and analogies.
